WILDLIFE OF ALL KINDS ENJOY APPLES. HOWEVER, TYPICALLY STINGING PESTS ARE LESS OF A PROBLEM ON THESE APPLE VARIETIES IN CONTRAST TO HONEYCRISP. Bees are atracted to apple cores!

WE HAVE MANY APPLE VARETIES TO PICK. AT THE PYO FARM you can pick ABOUT 15 VARIETIES. IN RIPENING ORDER: HONEYCRISP, GINGER GOLD, JONAMAC, GALA, MACINTOSH, HOLIDAY, MELROSE, GOLDEN DELICIOUS, JONAGOLD, TOPAZ, LUDACRISP, SCRUFFY , SUNCRISP, MUTSU, ROSALIE.

OUR ORCHARD IS ALL DWARF TRELLIS. THIS MEANS THE TREES ARE AT MOST 8FT TALL AND MOST OF THEIR FRUIT IS BELOW 6FT. WE TRY OUR BEST TO ALLOW FOR THE EASIEST AND LOWEST POSSIBLE FRUIT TO MAKE IT EASY FOR CHILDREN TO PICK.

ALL HONEYCRISP BAGS ARE PREPAID AND CAN BE PURCHASES IN THE BARN OR AT THE RASPBERRY SHANTY.

We want you to try different apple varieties. We wish you could try all the apples we grow on our farm but this is not possible. Our market, Sage's Apples is open daily and has many more varieties to sample and purchase.

All apples are sold by the bag not by weight. We provide two size bags to pick into. The small is a Peck and the Large is about a half Bushel bag. Fill up your bag. We do not charge an entrance fee into our farm. We want everyone to pick and enjoy the experience. The bag is priced forthe activity, so fill it up, unless you ate some fruit.
